Is it free to make a CV?
Yes. You can use the templates, edit your details and save your CV as a PDF with “Save as PDF” in your browser’s print window. You do not need to create an account.
How do I start if I have no work experience?
Begin with your education, internships, course projects and volunteering. Instead of adding work you did not do, explain what you contributed and learned. The graduate guide has an example layout.
Does changing the template delete my details?
No. The change template button only changes the look. Your CV fields and photo are kept. A template without a photo simply does not show it.
Do I have to upload a photo?
No. You can choose templates without a photo. In templates with a photo, your initials appear if you have not added one. A photo you upload is cropped to a square and reduced in your browser.
Which of my details does the assistant use?
The chat messages you send and your current CV fields, except the photo, are passed to the configured provider to generate a reply. Share only what you want in your CV. You can also edit by hand without using the assistant.
What if the assistant writes something wrong?
Correct the field in the Edit by hand tab. Check names, dates and numerical results especially, and read the whole text before you save a PDF.
How do I download my CV as a PDF?
Press the Download PDF button in the editor. In the print window that opens, choose Save as PDF as the destination, set the paper to A4 and turn off the browser headers and footers. For coloured designs, enable background graphics and check the preview.
Will my CV open on another device?
Currently your CV and chat are kept in this browser; there is no automatic sync between accounts or devices. Save your PDF somewhere separate. Your data can be lost if a private window closes or browser data is cleared.
How do I clear my information?
Use the Start over button in the editor to reset the CV and chat. Clearing your browser’s site data also removes local records. Clearing local records is not a deletion request for data already sent to the assistant service.
