If your details are ready: manual editing
Pick your template, fill in your personal details and add your work and education records. For each job use the position, company, dates and a description on separate lines. For example, instead of “did reporting”, describe what you really did: “updated the weekly order list and told the team about missing records”.
If you don’t know where to start: the assistant
Tell the assistant about yourself and fill the gaps with its questions. Check the suggested companies, dates, skills and numbers. You can change the template later and correct any field the assistant wrote by hand. For more examples, read the work experience guide.
What is and isn’t available today?
- 28 templates, photo upload, a live preview and saving as PDF from the browser are available.
- Accounts, syncing between devices, managing several CVs and direct DOCX export are not available yet.
- An automatic ATS score, job matching and a separate cover letter generator are not offered.
If you will use an application system, apply the file readability check. If a cover letter is requested, use the annotated cover letter example.
Usage questions
Why does the Download PDF button open a print window?+
The current output method is your browser’s save as PDF option. Choose A4, turn off the headers and footers, and open the saved file to check it.
Does changing the template reset my details?+
No. Changing the template changes the look and keeps the CV fields. The Start over button is a separate reset.
