Frequently asked questions
What is an ATS?
An ATS (applicant tracking system) is software employers use to collect applications, read the text and store it. Systems differ; this tool checks general good practice and does not compute the score of any specific system.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF, DOCX or TXT file is read in your browser. Text is sent to the AI service only if you choose to import it into CvBix.
Which file types are supported?
PDF, DOCX and TXT. Text cannot be read from scanned (image-only) PDFs.
Why are letter-spaced headings a problem?
Some readers treat headings with spaces between the letters as separate letters and cannot recognise the heading. The PDF output of CvBix templates is free of this problem.
Does it cost anything?
No. It is free and needs no account.
