How to write this CV
Name your unit
State the unit, such as medical ward, ICU, emergency or theatre, and the patient group. Put experience that matches the advert first.
Write procedures concretely
List what you do: medication administration, dressings, vital signs. Instead of “gave patient care”, say which care you gave.
Give certificates with dates
Add basic life support, infection control and similar certificates with expiry dates. Do not show an expired certificate as current.
Respect confidentiality
Do not share patient names, internal numbers or confidential information. Use anonymous, general wording.

Frequently asked questions
How do I write a newly qualified nurse CV?
Write the clinics where you did placements, the tasks you took as a student nurse and the certificates you earned. Put education first.
Should I write my shift pattern?
Not necessarily, but if night shifts matter for the advert you can mention them briefly.
Should a nurse CV have a photo?
Not unless the advert asks for one. A plain, photo-free template works well.
